The Skinny: You can't really beat all you can eat hot pot for $20. Great variety and deal.
Atmosphere: Long tables with individual hot pots with some booth seating. Be prepared to share a table with others (but there's plenty of room so it's really not a big deal - though if you really don't want to you can wait for a booth). Note every time I've been there it's pretty busy so expect a wait (weekends and weekdays). Pro tip - Pacific Ocean Market is an asian super market next door that is fun to walk around while waiting (and we found that our beeper still worked there - at least towards the front).
Food: Talk about bang for your buck. Tons of variety (veggies, soup bases, meats, seafood, noodles etc.) A quick rundown of how it works. You get a sheet of paper where you mark what you want. Everyone picks their own soup base, and then a bunch of items to share and cook. You can ask for more food at any time, or just get another sheet to check off food. Then there is a sauce bar at the back where you make your own sauces to dip your cooked food into (personally my favorite part). Huge variety for sauces and food, go crazy and try a bunch of different stuff! Bonus - you get free ice cream at the end of your meal (as if AYCE $20 hot pot wasn't enough)
Service: Quick and efficient.
Price/Value: $$. AYCE so portions are however you want it - it's such an amazing deal you really can't go wrong.
Would I come back? Yes! and do so frequently. -

This place was insane on a cold snowy Denver night well worth the wait! While it looks big seating is kinda limited but for our group of 6 they told us we would be an hour wait but we got in 45 minutes later.
It's $19.99 all you can eat hot pot. So friggggin good. The broths are a bit limited compared to other places but if you like hot & spicy, herbal or a plain broth it isn't too bad. I got the bone broth and it was meh. Onto the food. Fatty beef, pork belly, all the veggies in the world, meatballs were delicious, they have fried tofu sheets which is a guilt pleasure of mine! Squid and all the tripe in the world. Sauce bar is a bit lack luster in comparison to other places but again gets the job done.
No regrets. We will definitely be back again! -

Why am I giving this 5-stars?!? For Colorado and the hot pot restaurants that we have, i consider it the best. If I'm wrong, change my mind. This place has always provided great service, all the ingredients come out fresh, there's so many items to choose from, and the price is the best for hot pot AYCE ($20/person)!
For those of you newbies with hot pot, it's just Asian fondue. There's a couple of different broths to choose from, I really don't recommend the one with the corn in it. The corn broth will really cock-block your cooking game because it takes forever to boil. But you need to be creative with how you make your dipping sauce, otherwise your hot pot is as boring as your Elementary English Teacher. So step it up and be brave to try new things. As for those complaining about the service, it's an Asian restaurant, service is not what their known for (kidding, I'll probably get hate mail for this statement). Then again, I'm not coming to this place on a weekend where it gets stupid busy. It's an interactive restaurant, if you want to be served and just eat, go to a regular sit down restaurant. Otherwise, be ready to cook your own food, just like Korean BBQ.
Lastly, if you have a lingering cold or flu, this is a great place for you! Get that sweat out and cover up! -

Aki Asian Hot Pot is beyond amazing. For $20 you get all you can eat hot pot. I could stop this review right here since that's the best deal ever, but I'm going to continue because the whole experience was on point.
The cool thing about this spot is that each person gets and individual bowl of broth and burner. I'm used to having one big pot, but the individual pots were pretty cool. You would think for $20 unlimited that your selection would be limited, but it's quite the opposite. From shrimp, to meatballs, to mussels, to fatty beef - you name it, it's on the menu. Also, the sauce bar. Can't forget the sauce bar. I'm a hoisin and peanut sauce lover, so they are my go to's, but there are so many different sauces to choose from.
Also, the service is fast. We didn't even have to wait to what items we wanted to add on. The waitress was always checking in to see what we need. Since this was our first time at Aki, the waitress showed us to how to fill out the sheet and told us what her favorites are. Super helpful!
Can't wait for round 2 of Aki! -

I really appreciate Aki Asian Hot Pot. To me, this is the best hotpot restaurant in the Denver area currently minus whatever homemade hotpots y'all might make at home. Especially for a price of about $20 (plus tax & tip). Honestly, this AYCE hotpot place beats out some of the other ones in the Bay area for quality and price.
The location is pretty big with lots of parking. For me, individual pots for hotpot are better since I can't stand the taste of lamb (a typically favorite for my friends). If there are any foods that you can't stand, individual hotpot lets you have the option to not contaminate your soup with things you don't like.
The list of items that you can order with your hotpot is pretty good (Meat, Seafood, Veggies, Soy, and Noodles). They have five soup bases that you can choose from. And I don't think you can go wrong if you choose based on your personal tastes.
My personal favorites are their clams, fatty beef slices, lotus roots, taro root, silky tofu, etc... The clams here are way better than other buffets/AYCE places since they aren't the really small ones served at other places. For an AYCE place, their size is pretty good.
Hope you enjoy Aki as much as I do!
